శ్రీ భవిష్య పురాణము
సంస్కృతంలో వ్రాసిన హిందూ మతము యొక్క పురాణ శైలిలో రచించిన పద్దెనిమిది ప్రధాన రచనల్లో భవిష్య పురాణము (భవిష్య పురాణం) ఒకటి. భవిష్య అంటే “భవిష్యత్తు” అర్ధం. ఇందులో భవిష్యత్ గురించిన ప్రవచనాలు ఉన్నాయి. ఏదేమైనప్పటికీ, ఇది మనుగడలో ఉన్న లిఖిత ప్రతుల యొక్క “ప్రవచనం” భాగాలు కలిగి ఉన్న ఒక ఆధునిక శకం పని. ప్రాచీన కాలంగా ఉంటున్న, మనుగడలో ఉన్న లిఖిత గ్రంథాల్లోని ఇందులోని కొన్ని విభాగాలు, బృహత్ సంహిత, సాంబ పురాణం వంటి ఇతర భారతీయ గ్రంథాల నుండి పాక్షికంగా స్వీకరించబడ్డాయి. భవిష్య పురాణం వేద వ్యాస మహర్షి రచించిన అష్టాదశ పురాణాలలో ఏకాదశ పురాణం. ఈ పురాణంలో మొత్తం 5 భాగాలున్నాయి. మొదటి భాగంలో విష్ణువు, శివుడు, సూర్య భగవానుని జననం వర్ణించ బడింది. రెండవ, మూడవ, నాల్గవ భాగాలలో ఆ దేవతల గొప్పతనం వర్ణించ బడింది. ఐదవ భాగంలో స్వర్గలోక వర్ణన ఉంది.
