1. Overview

At Sri Manikanta Book Center, we strive to deliver quality books and a reliable shopping experience. This policy outlines the terms for returns, exchanges, and refunds on orders placed through www.srimanikantabookcenter.in.

2. Returns Policy

We accept returns only in the specific situations listed under "Return Eligibility" below. Since books are a hygiene-sensitive and easily-damaged product, we are unable to accept returns for reasons of personal preference once an order has been delivered in good, undamaged condition.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Books that have been used, written on, folded, or damaged after delivery
  • Customized, personalized, or made-to-order items (if any)
  • Digital products (e-books, downloadable content), once accessed or downloaded

3. Return & Refund Eligibility

You may request a return, replacement, or refund only under the following conditions:

  • The book/item received is damaged, defective, or has missing/torn pages
  • You received the wrong item (different title/edition than ordered)
  • Duplicate payment was made for the same order
  • The order was not delivered within a reasonable time and is confirmed lost by the courier

4. Refund/Return Request Process

To raise a request, email us at srimanikantabookcentre@gmail.com or call +91 9700545654 within 48 hours of delivery (or, for non-delivery, within 48 hours of the expected delivery date).

Your request must include:

  • Order number and date of purchase
  • Reason for the return/refund request
  • Photos of the item and packaging (for damaged, defective, or incorrect items)

5. Non-Refundable / Non-Returnable Situations

Refunds or returns will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Delays caused by courier partners, postal services, or circumstances beyond our control (natural events, regional restrictions, etc.)
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address/contact information provided by the customer
  • Items reported after the 48-hour window
  • Books that show signs of use, damage, or tampering after delivery

6. Review & Approval

All return and refund requests are subject to internal review and verification, including checking the photos/proof submitted.

  • Approval is not guaranteed and is decided on a case-by-case basis
  • We may request the item to be shipped back to us before processing a refund or replacement (return shipping arrangements will be communicated at that time)
  • The company's decision on eligibility shall be final and binding

7. Refund Timeline

If a refund is approved:

  • The refund will be processed within 5–7 business days of approval
  • The amount will be credited to your original payment method (or bank account, in case of Cash on Delivery orders)
  • For approved replacements, a new item will be dispatched at no extra cost
